2013 marked our first calendar year as husband and wife, our first full year in Massachusetts, Drew had his one year anniversary at DataOne Software, and Theresa completed her first year of seminary. Looking back on this year we can’t help but feel incredibly blessed by the amazing ways that God has provided for us! It really is a wonderful life! There have been days this year that we just stop and wonder at how we are able to be where we are and are overcome with joy with this stage in our lives.
Here are Some of the fun highlights of 2013!!
JANUARY
We were able to travel to California over Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend to be a part of Chris and Jessica Lorenz’s wedding, my parents were able to drive down to meet us, and we went to Disneyland!

We went to a graduation party for a Bucknell friend and were able to bid farewell to our dear friend Laura Calderwood as she headed off to Malawi to serve in the Peace Corps. We also got to stay with our dear friends Dan and Alana Opdahl in Williamsport for the weekend. It was a wonderful time to be able to reconnect with friends from college!

The summer took a little getting used to as Theresa was working part-time and taking a class, and for the first time ever Drew didn't really have “summer vacation”. However, we still found time over the three months to have lots of fun! In June, my parents were able to fly out for a week and a half. During that time we explored all around Massachusetts visiting some new sites in Boston and going to the historical Plymouth Plantation.
JULY
Of course this potentially being our only summer spent in the Boston area, it was top on our list that we experience the fireworks in downtown Boston! It was a very hot and humid day, but well worth dealing with the crowds to see the show!

July 21, 2013 was our one year anniversary! We celebrated with a lovely Sunday Brunch in Boston and a day out on the town!

AUGUST
We were able to fly twice this month! And, well those that know us well know that we love to travel, so this month topped the 2013 charts! We were able to fly to Minneapolis, MN and witness the beautiful Shanna Carney marry Jason Sauer, and then later that month over Labor Day weekend we flew to Florida to spend some time with Chris & Jessica Lorenz and with Mitchell & Emily Cooper and the kids! Theresa had never been to Florida, so this was a new state for her and we loved it. Though, the humidity was a little much…..
FALL 2013
Well the summer travels came to an end and school started in the end of September. Oh also we bid farewell to several wonderful fellow Gordon-Conwell couples from our homegroup, Matt and Katharine Rose headed to Michigan and Kirk and Shelby Patterson headed to Scotland. Both of these couples had new little bundles of joy in tow! We have loved our church family here and are looking forward to more months of serving. Drew has recently been working more on his guitar skills and continues to play piano. We were able to take a fun day trip up to Burlington, VT in late Nov. We spent Thanksgiving in New Hampshire with the Stonesifers, and Christmas in Idaho Falls with Mom and Dad Narus.
